Data Warehouse Engineer

JPC is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer that will work closely with our client’s technology team and business units on enterprise data initiatives. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the bank’s data hub supporting the Salesforce case-management and customer relationship management (CRM) platform, Qlik Sense business intelligence applications, vendor data integrations, standard reporting, and a growing list of other vital applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Spearheads the design and construction of the analytical data stores and metadata.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to data engineers, BI architects, and other partners on data ingestion processes.
  • Works with business stakeholders to identify critical data (entities and attributes).
  • Advises on tools for maintaining the data dictionary and business glossary to document data lineages, data definitions, and metadata for all critical data domains.
  • Helps identify and design solutions that perform root cause analysis to enable proactive issue resolution and data quality maintenance.
  • Develops strategies for flexibility and scalability and defines the future technical architecture direction for the business intelligence environment.
  • Maintains and enforces standards in the naming and structure of Snowflake tables, columns, schemas, databases, and warehouses.
  • Creates and modifies tables, views, and stored procedures.
  • Monitors warehouse performance and cost-effectively scales resources to complete batch processing within available time segments.
  • Performs data evaluation, data profiling, and identification of potential problem areas and makes appropriate recommendations
  • Creates data models, data flow diagrams, and data mappings.
  • Maintains warehouse security and user access.
Qualifications
  • Minimum ten years of experience delivering business intelligence solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of ANSI SQL.
  • Programming proficiency in one or more contemporary languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Snowflake, Oracle, AWS, and Boomi experience
