Scrum Master

JPC is looking for a Scrum Master that will be responsible for supporting upgrade projects, enterprise enhancements, security initiatives, and implementation, using agile and Kanban methodology.
Job Responsibilities
  • Organize Sprint Planning meetings, which includes reviewing the Product Backlog and collaborating with the Product Owner and the Core Team to identify user stories to be included in the next Sprint
  • Conduct Sprint Review Meetings to review the scope and functionality delivered successfully in the previous Sprint
  • Organize Sprint Retrospectives with the Scrum Team to improve process & techniques continuously
  • Ensure the team abides by the SCRUM rules and guidelines
  • Hold Daily SCRUM meetings to allow the Scrum Team to synchronize their work and communicate issues and roadblocks to the Product Owner
  • Empower the Scrum Team, and shield the Scrum Team from outside influences and distractions
  • Assist the Product Owner in maintaining the Product Backlog
  • Work effectively as part of the Scrum Team to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
  • Establishing a sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely, cost-effective manner with top quality
  • Maintaining an exceptional level of customer focus centered on integrity and transparency
Required Skills
  • Recent, significant experience as scrum master in an agile or Kanban environment on enterprise projects with different business owners
  • Familiar with enterprise infrastructure and/or access management/security projects
  • Experience working with dynamic, highly collaborative teams, requiring close consultation and coordination
  • Experience within big pharma, finance, insurance, or other highly regulated systems environment
  • Demonstrated ‘servant’ leadership skills
  • Experience using leading Scrum/Agile/Kanban tools
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems
  • Certified SCRUM Master and/or PMP

  • Comfortable with leading meetings, focusing the team members on the task at hand and facilitating groups to reach consensus in a timely manner
  • Comfortable with self-training/learning
  • Can detect where a process is having trouble, draft impact analysis, propose resolution, review and implement in reasonable time period
