Web and Digital Content Writer

King of Prussia, PA
JPC is seeking a Web and Digital Content Writer that will be responsible for creating dynamic content experiences that drive engagement and leads through compelling, optimized written content. In addition, produces engaging web pages with a strong brand narrative and technical accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Distills highly technical subject matter into clear and compelling content.
  • Creates content with SEO top of mind for digital audiences with multiple customers (individuals, small business to global enterprise).
  • Uses analytics to make data-informed decisions about content and page flow.
  • Researches the subject from internal interviews to competitive research to understand the topic and gather the information needed to develop the content on subject.
  • Identifies keywords and topics and incorporates them into writing for SEO purposes.
  • Interviews and manages expectations of global stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains digital writing style guides.
  • Leverages brand materials, including verbal and visual identities, user personas and messaging frameworks to develop personalized messaging and content.
  • Writes and edits compelling content for digital properties, including new global and existing websites, using SEO best practices to engage audiences and drive leads.
  • Effectively presents complex concepts with empathy and in a friendly and modern manner, using a conversational structure and from the customer perspective.
  • Conducts industry research to fully understand our products and their place in the market to be able to formulate original page narratives to share our story.
  • Initiates and plans content from conducting research, gathering information, and reviewing existing content briefs, interviewing stakeholders, and reviewing drafts with stakeholders to approve optimized content.
  • Edits and optimizes new web content requests within Drupal CMS.
  • Ensures content uses the proper tone of voice and styles for our global brand.
  • Maps the digital buyer journey and create content for each stage and persona in the funnel.
  • Develops new conversational marketing content and apply that to the chat bot experiences focused on speed to lead and personalizing the visitor’s experience.
  • Understands the design and functionality behind the content with a focus on how to serve the audience and drive leads to deliver the right information at the right time.
  • Assists with content audits on all organizational domains to measure content effectiveness, recommend changes, draft enhancements, and discuss content opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Uses Google Analytics, search, business data, interviews and UX research data to improve and scale content across digital properties.
  • Works with UX Design to create content experiences as needed for campaigns.
  • Works with the project team to manage content workflow and proofing/editing of content both before and once it is on a webpage.
  • Develops and maintains a digital voice/tone style guide that supports a global audience.
  • Works closely with the operations team, agencies, SEO, UX Research and Marketing leads across divisions and regions.
  • Continually improves content processes and tools.
  • Stays informed on competitors and their differentiators.
  • Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Incredible, progressive writing skills, an editor’s eye for detail, sharp interviewing and information gathering skills, and amazing organizational aptitude.
  • Solid understanding of how corporate websites work, how to deliver an effective web page, and ability to reach multiple audiences throughout the buying journey.
  • Effective project management skills with proven ability to work successfully on multiple projects simultaneously, manage projects from start to finish, and collaborate with remote teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, and undaunted by the constant change that comes with a rapidly expanding company.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Drupal, SEMrush, Optimizely, Gather Content, Usertesting.com, Crazy Egg or Hotjar, Qualtrics, Smartsheet. Basecamp.
  • Able to write for a US and UK audience a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Six (6) plus years of experience working with digital marketing teams and stakeholders producing performing digital content for corporate websites.
  • Experience in short form and micro-copy specifically for websites.
  • Prior experience as content developer within B2B, previous product management or writing for finance, insurance, or risk management a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
