Business Analyst - JDE

Our client is looking to hire a Business Analyst that will understand business requirements and how they relate to functionality in the JDE ERP application, and interoperability between JDE and other applications. This individual will act as a technical liaison between the IT group and other business groups while providing remote and onsite assistance to resolve user problems, as well as identify opportunities to further leverage JDE EnterpriseOne. The Business Analyst will assist users in ongoing system enhancement, training and support and also use analytical, technical and organizational skills to facilitate, design and implement business solutions. Attention to detail and good documentation skills are critical to this effort.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide technical analysis and problem resolution to support requests received from system users located in disparate company locations
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions by presenting options based on best practices
  • Produce user documentation for applications standard work and training
  • Provide application support and training for JDE software.
  • Test and debug new enhancements and report modifications to ensure compliance with specifications and the generation of accurate information
  • Plan, test, document and implement changes required by the business to enhance functionality of the system while minimizing the need for system customization and taking advantage of the system’s standard configurations
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve system and report malfunctions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems and reports
Requirements
  • Strong business knowledge of the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) 9.2 package with specific focus on Sales Order, Finance, AP/AR/GL, Fixed Assets, Distribution, Manufacturing, Inventory, Transportation, and other modules
  • Experience working with users/customers, developers, other analysts, sales, manufacturing, marketing, and finance and the ability to provide communications related to addressing their needs and concerns
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including pivot tables
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for this position
