JPC is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant that will assist with completing tax analyses and prepare aspects of the Company's indirect tax filings, including sales & use tax, VAT/GST, gross receipts tax, property tax, and related returns, estimates, and reconciliations. The Indirect Tax Accountant will also assist with organizing and addressing correspondence from tax authorities, performing tax research, and other tax projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepare supporting analyses for and aspects of global indirect tax returns (e.g. sales & use tax, VAT/GST, property, etc.) Prepare periodic indirect tax reconciliations of tax general ledger accounts
Assist with ongoing documentation for internal controls, as applicable to indirect tax processes
Assist with special projects as needed
Organize and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Leverage and collaborate, where applicable, with external tax advisors and service providers
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
2 to 5 years of experience on Indirect Tax Accounting
Minimum of 2 years experience in a corporate tax department of a publicly traded multi-state corporation or at a national public accounting firm required
Experience with O Series a plus
Proficiency with Excel
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience required
Advance degree or working toward an advanced degree in taxation a plus
