Chief Technology Officer

JPC Partners is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) that has experience in legal technology, including Aderant, iManage, and cloud transformation leadership.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Drive Technology Strategy
    Align the firm’s tech roadmap with business goals and emerging trends in the legal industry.
  • Oversee IT Operations and Infrastructure
    Ensure strong system performance, security, and reliable vendor relationships.
  • Lead Cloud Migrations
    Manage transitions from on-premise systems (e.g., iManage, Aderant) to secure, cloud-based platforms with minimal disruption.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert
    Provide leadership on Aderant (financial systems) and iManage (document management) to ensure best practices and system optimization.
  • Collaborate Across Departments
    Partner with leadership, legal teams, finance, and operations to deliver solutions that boost productivity and enhance client service.
  • Drive Innovation and Efficiency
    Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and process improvements across the firm.
  • Manage Teams and Vendors
    Direct internal IT staff and external partners to support both daily operations and strategic projects.
  • Ensure Compliance and Cybersecurity
    Maintain alignment with industry regulations and legal-specific cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications:
  • 8 - 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Aderant and iManage, with hands-on experience in implementation, administration, and optimization
  • Proven success leading IT strategy and enterprise modernization, including cloud migrations (iManage Cloud, Azure, or AWS preferred)
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to execute both long-term initiatives and daily operational needs
  • Strong grasp of legal workflows, compliance requirements, and document security best practices
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence executive leadership
  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP, Azure, or iManage Certified are a plus)
