Technical Lead

Audubon, PA
JPC Partners is looking for a Technical Lead that will provide technical support, software development, and support to the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS). The Technical Lead will supervise a team of 2-3 developers / testers, interface with internal business leads and internal customer support personnel, interface with external vendors, and provide technical support for external customers as needed.
Business Analysis
  • Requirements gathering
  • Create Business Requirements Documents and Design Documents
  • Create/update SQL queries to support business leads
  • Review and update corporate policies and procedures for Information Technology
Project Management
  • Create and track project plans
  • Interface with external vendors for tasks/projects like vulnerability scans and patching
Quality Assurance
  • Create Test Plans and execute tests.
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Possess a working knowledge of GATS and the renewable energy market
  • Develop / maintain technical documentation of the GATS system. This may include database design, UI design, and Interface design documentation
  • Supervise the development of new interfaces or enhancing existing interfaces
  • Direct the work of developers on UI enhancements and bug fixes
  • Ensure thorough testing of enhancements and bug fixes in the GATS System, both the API and the UI
  • Provide technical support for users of the application and interfaces
  • Develop an understanding of company acronyms and terminology
  • Relate well to all kinds of people; work effectively with individuals and groups at various levels in a constructive and collaborative manner; build and utilize effective working relationships in a matrix environment and across functional, departmental and divisional reporting lines
QUALIFICATIONS:
This job requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.  Feedback and suggestions on processes are needed.  Works under minimum supervision.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Required:
  • Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • A general understanding of electricity markets
  • Excellent customer support including good communication, written and verbal skills and problem solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to debug and maintain complex systems, particularly those created by other developers with minimal available documentation
  • Ability to create/debug SQL code (queries, stored procedures)
  • Experience as a .Net developer in a technical organization writing software applications preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience in the following technologies:
    • Familiarity with C#
    • .NET framework code
    • projects ASP.NET and MVC
    • SOAP
    • SQL Server
    • MS Office
  • Ability to grow with position, increasing expertise, responsibility, and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time while still meeting deadlines.
  • Flexibility to change priorities as needed
  • Bachelors or more advanced degree
