Senior Business Analyst

Perkasie, PA
Responsible for developing a Business Analysis Center of Excellence (BA CoE), which will drive requirements gathering and documentation to support projects and business improvement initiatives across the organization. The suitable candidate will be responsible for establishing the company’s business analysis methodology for developing repeatable processes, templates, training, mentoring, reporting, and best practices for other employees across the company that perform business analysis duties. The Senior Business Analyst will also have the responsibility to ensure that the business's need for changes to processes, policies and/or information systems are identified, understood, defined, documented, and acted upon by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and verifying the needs of business or user. 
Essential Functions
The following is a list of essential functions, which may be subject to change at any time and without advance notice. Management may assign new duties, reassign existing duties, or eliminate a function.
  • Create, develop, and manage the BA CoE, based on industry best practices.
  • Facilitates requirements and discovery sessions.
  • Solicits and documents business needs and issues by gathering, eliciting, creating, analyzing, documenting, and validating the Business areas functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Responsible for the written documentation of requirements and the development of business analysis artifacts, such as BRDs, Process/Data Flows, Customer Journy Maps, Requirements Traceability Matrixes.
  • Responsible for the overall success of user acceptance testing, including documentation, verification, and release.
  • Assists with developing test plans, tracking bugs and issues, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to monitor, report, and resolve issues. Participates in the development of solutions and workarounds that solve moderate to high complexity technical, system and/or business issues.
Compliance
  • Comply with applicable regulations, such as regulations governing currency transactions, purchase of negotiable instruments, and money laundering (BSA, AML).
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and policies regarding employment and employment law.
  • Participate in annual compliance and other job-related training.

Relationships and Contacts

Internal
  • Frequent contact with Team Members of various levels throughout the company.
  • Collaboration with peers and leadership on projects and business process improvement initiatives. 
External
  • Frequent contact with vendors who support new projects.
  • Contact with vendors, regulators and outside auditing firms around business analysis.

Education and Experience
  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field.
    • 2+ years in the financial services or banking industry sectors.
    • 5+ years business analysis experience.
    • Experience in producing analysis documents, process flows, customer journey maps, and test plans.
  • Preferred:
    • MBA
    • 5+ years in the banking or financial industry sectors.
    • 10+ years business analysis experience.
    • IIBA Certification or equivalent
    • Previous experience in establishing or assisting with a BA CoE.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), MS Visio.
  • Ability to translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to the project teams and team members.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
